Day 208: Art in Buchanan Galleries

This unusual sculpture has a huge stone suspended from a steel rod
and the poetry underneath is by Hugh MacDiarmid and reads:

"...divine rhythm, wholly at one
With the earth, riding the Heavens with it, as the stones do
And all soon must."

Day 207: Corner of Argyle & Albion Streets

Fraser Suites

The classic Victorian Scots facade was designed by JT Rochead,
architect of the Wallace Monument in Stirling.
It dates from the 1850s and was once the city bank.

Day 184: Omega Writing Sculpture

This is one of two writers on a horseshoe (omega) shaped bench who are writing:

"The future is waiting to be written
all weathers we lean to the task
the sky balanced on our shoulders like the past"

by British Sculptor David Annand and it is a "monument to the creativity and artistry of Clyde Shipyard Artisans"

(It's in Clyde View Park, hidden away behind Braehead)
